- We
only refill medications prescribed by Southwest Cardiology
physicians. Please contact the prescribing physician for your other
medications.
- Prescriptions
will be refilled during regular
office hours Monday through Friday only.
- Under normal
circumstances prescription renewals should be obtained during regularly
scheduled visits with your physician. This allows you to update the
physician and to plan any necessary change in your medication or to
schedule any testing that may need to be done. We understand, however,
that sometimes this is not possible.
- Please
provide/verify the name, phone and fax number of your pharmacy at each
visit.
- Please bring
all of your prescription bottles with you so we can correctly update
your medication list. Please include those medications prescribed by
other physicians.
- Prescriptions
and/or sample requests will not be filled for
“walk-in” patients. Good medical care standards
require that we review your medical record before renewing an expired
prescription. This cannot be accomplished readily on a walk-in basis,
since our doctors & staff are busy seeing patients with
scheduled appointments or with collateral duties.
- To request
samples, please call the office and leave a message on the prescription
refill line a minimum of 3 days in advance. You will be notified when
they are ready for pickup.
- To request a
refill please call your pharmacist. If you already have refills
authorized, the pharmacist will be able to fill your prescription
quickly. If you do not have refills, the pharmacist will notify our
office. It may take three (3) working days to complete the
authorization for your prescription and inform the pharmacy. Please do
not call the office for verification of completion; check with your
pharmacist. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD.
- Mail order
prescriptions may need two (2) weeks to complete. The mail order
prescription must be mailed by you and cannot be called in to the
pharmacy. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD.
